Contributing to the dialogue surrounding the 2007 Turner Prize and its new location at Tate Liverpool, The Royal Standard presented an alternative live event to coincide with the judging and award ceremony on Monday 3 December 2007. Visitors were invited to place bets on the winner and watch the “live final” in an evening of Turner Prize related activity and entertainment, artists' film and video, performance and intervention.

Featuring video work by Trine Lise Nedreaas (Berlin/New York), WebsterGotts (Sheffield), Dave Green and Alan Bogana (London/Geneva) and Andrew Cooke (Sheffield), and performance and intervention from aas(Birmingham), Kate Longman (Sheffield), Charlotte Morgan (Sheffield), Katharine Lloyd (Liverpool) and Daniel Simpkins (Liverpool).
