A research and networking weekend aiming to playfully explore and debate the effect of the European Capital of Culture status on its recipient cities.

In collaboration with Redwire Studios, The Royal Standard played host to artists and groups from past, present and future Capitals of Culture including Glasgow, Vilnius and Istanbul, along with cities that were short-listed but missed out on the award.

A programme of collaborative tours, participatory events and social activity punctuated the weekend, mapping and engaging with the city's official and unofficial culture and informing an ongoing process of discussion and debate, culminating in a public panel discussion at Static.
